Kaelriyu - A Distant Land
Goblins are a small, cheerful and optimistic race much like the halflings. Unlike them however, they form permanent, primitive settlements. Education isn’t something Goblins take too seriously, preferring to pick things up as they go rather than learn, which is the reason for their slowly developing society.
Goblins developed a knack for figuring out small devices, and are naturally nervous of other races. Their initial instinct is to hide, and for that reason were one of the last races stumbled upon by humans. They also have a talent for sorcery, particularly favoring lighting magic which they find fascinating.
Having a simple naming convention, they simply call each other adjectives which suits them. Eventually, those adjectives stick and become their proper name. Some goblins try too hard to earn a name they think they deserve. “Annoying” is a common Goblin name.
